Wellbeing & safety resources
Trancr is for recreational hypnosis - it is not therapy or medical treatment.
Nothing here, and no session arranged through Trancr, is a substitute for professional mental-health
or medical care. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to a
professional or one of the services below right now.
If you need to talk to someone now
- Emergency: call your local emergency number (911 in the US/Canada, 112 in much of Europe).
- US & Canada: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
- UK & Ireland: Samaritans, 116 123.
- International: find a local helpline at
findahelpline.com.
Hypnosis, safely
Recreational hypnosis is a shared, consensual activity. A few principles keep it healthy:
- Agree limits and a wake word up front, every time - use the
consent form on each match.
- Anyone can stop at any moment, for any reason, no explanation owed.
- Start light. Build trust with a low-stakes activity before deeper work.
- Debrief afterwards. The aftercare check-in is there for a reason.
- Hypnosis is not a treatment for trauma, addiction, or medical conditions. Leave that to professionals.
A note for practitioners
If you list yourself as a hypnotherapist or practitioner, you must acknowledge that you are
not offering clinical treatment through Trancr. This is recreational and
practice-oriented only. You can review that acknowledgement on
your profile.
